Berlin/Leipzig, January 16, 2020
KNV Zeitfracht has concluded an extensive strategic partnership with the parcel service DPD. In future, DPD will supply KNV Zeitfracht customers with book and media products. The high-performance and economically attractive offer extends to deliveries from KNV Zeitfracht's e-commerce services to private individuals and also to shipments to customers in the book trade and publishing delivery business.
Jasmin Schröter, partner of the Zeitfracht Group: "With this cooperation, we are breaking new ground in book logistics. We are building on the company's tradition with this innovative approach." Jasmin Schröter, the niece of company founder Horst Walter Schröter, who co-founded the first German private parcel service DPD in 1976, continues: "We can also offer our KNV Zeitfracht customers a far-reaching service such as tracking their deliveries. In future you will be able to track exactly where your shipment is and when it will be delivered."
Eric Malitzke, Managing Director of DPD Germany, adds: "We are very much looking forward to working with the leading player in German book logistics. With its combination of B2B and B2C and its high standards of transparent and reliable delivery, KNV Zeitfracht is a partner that fits DPD's profile perfectly."
KNV Zeitfracht operates as a wholesaler for bookstores and as a fulfillment service provider for publishers and online stores. Retail and private customers all over the world are supplied from the Erfurt location. Thanks to the partnership between KNV Zeitfracht and DPD, shipments can be delivered to these customers in future at economically attractive conditions and, above all, with a high level of transparency and delivery predictability thanks to DPD's Predict offers.
