Zeitfracht Medien: Good start to 2023 and optimism for the current financial year
Erfurt, 3. April 2023
Zeitfracht Medien GmbH had a successful start to 2023 despite the current times of crisis: net sales for the first quarter of 2023 developed well and increased by more than 14 percent to 132 million euros after 115.5 million euros in the same period of the previous year.
The company embarked on forward-looking projects such as the expansion of print-on-demand, began construction of a further logistics hall at the Erfurt site, particularly for small and medium-sized publishers, and also expanded its distribution services for third-party customers from outside the industry.
Like its competitors, Zeitfracht Medien GmbH was forced to increase prices to guarantee economic stability for the current year. In addition, a whole raft of measures are in place to compensate for supply bottlenecks at peak times of the season and fluctuations in incoming orders from clients, some of which were very significant in 2022.
Thomas Raff, CEO of Zeitfracht Medien GmbH: "Last year, we had the freedom to tackle fundamental issues in a new way. We will benefit from this this year. We have also positioned the company much more broadly - with new customers outside the book industry and by now having our own print shop in Nuremberg. We are optimistic about the coming months and hope that procurement prices will not rise as sharply as last year."
